Supermarine Revolution (SM-1000) is just that; a revolution in modern marine coatings technology – and our signature product. Revolution is a single stage hybrid resin blend that outperforms and outlasts all comers. It produces a remarkably attractive finish that must be seen to appreciate. It has a unique soft, smooth glossy appearance yet it is deceptively hard and durable. The low odor formula produces a nontoxic finish that is forgiving and easy to apply. It self-levels like no other marine paint in brush and roll applications; and is easily sprayed.

Revolution produces a unique film that remains both hard and flexible at the same time. It provides a high level of corrosion resistance topside or under the waterline. It is the first marine coating that can be used above and below the waterline on virtually any marine structure, boat or vessel, regardless of size or materials of construction often eliminating the need for antifouling bottom paint while at the same time outperforming both typical topside and antifouling bottom paints in many applications. It pays you back by saving money on expensive scheduled maintenance costs and bottom paint. Even better; the film is so smooth it may increase the speed of your trailered boat by as much as 14% saving money at the fuel dock and time in transit! Independent test data confirms its spectacular performance, longevity and durability; achieving more than 40+ year lifespan in accelerated constant submersion durability testing commissioned by Siemens and Westinghouse. Stats: VOC compliant. Dry to the touch in 1-2 hours. Best when two or more thin coats are applied at a maximum of 2 mils wet film thickness. Recommended DFT is 3.5-4 mils. Pot life: Not applicable. Very high in solid content so it will require thinning in most applications. Custom colors available on request for an additional $10.00 per gallon. Available in quart, gallon and five gallon containers. Available in satin and high gloss.

Recommended preparation: Refer to Application Instructions Sheet included with order, label directions and standard industry application practices. For best results remove old paint, loose scale, wax, oil and contaminates. Sand or scuff all surfaces prior to the application of any primer or coating.

     Fiberglass, aluminum, concrete, masonry and stainless steel, galvanized steel- strongly recommend the use of SM-695 Etching Cleaner.

     All wood surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and dry before the application of primer or coatings.

     Steel: Where rust is evident recommend SM-5679 Rust Converting Cleaner. All surfaces must be thoroughly dry and free of contaminates before the application of any primer or marine paint.

Recommended primers:

     Aluminum, galvanized and stainless steel- SM-117 Pre-Wash Primer in combination with SM-787 Mono-Coat Epoxy Primer, SM-664D Etching Primer.

     Steel & iron: SM-787 Mono-Coat Epoxy Primer, SM-7390 Formula 150 Epoxy Primer or SM-664D Etching Primer

     Concrete & masonry- SM-787 Mono-Coat Epoxy Primer, SM-7390 Formula 150 Epoxy Primer.

     Wood- SM-787 Mono-Coat Epoxy Primer, SM-664D Etching Primer

Thin & clean up: All applications will require 10-20% dilution, SM-101 Thinner. Clean all equipment thoroughly with SM-101 Thinner or acetone.

Accelerate/Harden: See SM-160 Accelerator/Hardener.

NOTE: This product does not contain biocides. It is not an antifouling bottom paint.
