Aqueous Epoxy (SM-3000) is the first single stage mono epoxy that is water-based, self leveling, brushable, VOC compliant and eco-friendly. The finish is surprisingly smooth and soft in appearance yet rock-hard and durable! Engineered to brush beautifully, build better and displace rust causing moisture and air as it cures. It provides a high level of adhesion, hardness and chemical resistance not commonly associated with water-based products. An excellent choice because of it's ease of use, durability and eco-friendly approach to protecting metal or wood subject to a harsh marine environment. Fast drying and friendly to the environment.

Withstands high traffic, abrasions, impacts and chemicals. May be applied to existing paint in sound condition without primer. Requires a minimum of two interlinking coats to prevent rust on metal. Acceptable for brush, roller-coat or spray applications. Brush: recommend natural bristle brushes. Roller: Recommend high quality dense foam roller covers. Spray: Recommend small-medium size tip. Dry to the touch in 1 hour, recoatable in 12 hours - temperature dependant. Dries hard in 12-24 hours. Sand between coats after 48 hours. Mixing ratio: N/A. Pot life: N/A. Recommendations: Recommend applying two or more coats to achieve a minimum DFT of 4 mils. Dilute with water only as needed. Not recommended for fiberglass or large wooden structures.

 
Cleaner: Recommend SM-695 Etching Cleaner for aluminum, concrete and prepared steel surfaces. Where rust is evident use SM-5679 Rust Converting Cleaner.

Primer: Aluminum, galvanized and Stainless: Use SM-117 Pre-Wash Primer in combination with any other Supermarine primer.

Steel, iron & concrete: SM-7390 Formula 150 Epoxy Primer or SM-787 Mono Epoxy Primer.

Wood: See SM-664D Etching Primer.

Slip Resistance: For added slip resistance add 8 ounces SM-630 Pro-Tex, 1 lb Tred-Tex or Gaco-Grip.

Clean up: Clean with water.
