Supermarine Mono-Coat Epoxy
(SM-2020)
makes getting the job
done right the first time quicker and easier than ever before.
It has quickly become a favorite of both the professional and
the do-it-yourselfer because it eliminates the difficulty of
mixing multiple components together, induction time and limited
pot life associated with traditional two component epoxies. It’s
an easy to use advanced formula that produces an effective
barrier to both moisture and vapors on virtually any marine
surface.
Mono-Coat
Epoxy is easier to apply it lasts longer and saves you money on
scheduled maintenance costs. It provides a high level of
corrosion and chemical resistance while creating an effective
barrier coat on a wide variety of surfaces in a marine
environment. It achieves a highly durable high-build protective
epoxy film that quickly self levels to an exceptionally smooth
rock hard finish. The cured epoxy-ester film retains its color
and gloss better than typical two component epoxy reducing the
chance of chalking and yellowing.

applied. Recommended wet film thickness is 4-5 mils. Recommended
DFT is 4 mils. Pot life: Not applicable. Very high in solid
content so it will require thinning in most applications. Custom
colors available on request for an additional $10.00 per gallon.

Recommended preparation:
Refer to Application Instructions Sheet included with order,
label directions and standard industry application practices.
For best results remove old paint, loose scale, wax, oil and
contaminates. Sand or scuff all surfaces prior to the
application of any primer or coating.
Fiberglass, aluminum,
concrete, masonry and stainless steel, galvanized steel-
strongly recommend the use of
SM-664D Etching Primer
All wood surfaces must be thoroughly
cleaned and dry before the application of primer or coatings.
Steel: Where rust is evident recommend
SM-5679 Phos-Pro Rust
Converting Cleaner. All surfaces must be thoroughly dry
and free of contaminates before the application of any primer or
marine paint.
