Supermarine Urethane
(SM-2000)
is versatile, good looking and as durable as it gets!
This two-part urethane has been specifically formulated to
provide superior adhesion, hardness, chemical, heat resistance
and durability than any consumer brand epoxy, alkyd, urethane or
resin blend. It’s a fully submersible self leveling formula
producing superior color and gloss retention so it is acceptable
for use in the engine room or bilge area. A military formula
that conforms to specification number MIL-P-85285 so you know
you are getting the best!
Supermarine
Urethane is a two-component aliphatic urethane designed for
extra durability and resistance to strong chemicals, heat,
spilled fuel, acids, alkalis, solvents, salt spray and corrosion
over a variety of substrates. Use it on any interior surface
including in the engine room, on engine components, exhaust
manifolds and pump housings. A fully submersible coating
acceptable for use on virtually all interior/exterior marine
surfaces without yellowing or chalking. Acceptable for use on
prepared iron, steel, aluminum, fiberglass and wood. Resists
heat (500F), chemicals, fuels and staining agents.

Recommended preparation:
Refer to Application Instructions Sheet included with order,
label directions and standard industry application practices.
For best results remove old paint, loose scale, wax, oil and
contaminates. Sand or scuff all surfaces prior to the
application of any primer or coating.
Fiberglass, aluminum,
concrete, masonry and stainless steel, galvanized steel-
strongly recommend the use of
SM-695
Etching Cleaner.
All wood surfaces must be thoroughly
cleaned and dry before the application of primer or coatings.
Steel: Where rust is evident
recommend
SM-5679 Phos-Pro Rust
Converting Cleaner. All surfaces must be thoroughly dry
and free of contaminates before the application of any primer or
marine paint.
