Floor-Grip II (SM-333) is the result of a whole bunch of customer feed-back. It’s everything you asked for; safety, durability and good looks in a VOC compliant, low odor direct-to-metal or concrete format. It produces a beautiful textured non skid finish that really lasts. Like original Floor-Grip we’ve added three different sizes of aggregate to a tough industrial/marine modified alkyd base for lasting durability. It produces an attractive high build finish that adds sure footing in a wide variety of applications. Floor-Grip II is tough enough for high traffic commercial areas and attractive enough to be used on the finest yachts.  Boaters and businesses love it because it improves safety, lowers liability and produces a very attractive finish that is tough enough to meet the demands of high traffic and easy enough to walk on with bare feet. 

Floor-Grip II is excellent for use on boat decks, steps, gangways, ramps, in dining areas, kitchen areas, walk in freezers, pool areas or in the head. Floor-Grip II is resistant to color fade, abrasion and the effects of ponding water. It will fill and seal small cracks. It is considerably harder, more durable and longer lasting than typical non slip floor paint. It adheres to most any surface including concrete, asphalt, ferrous and non-ferrous metals and masonry while providing a durable non-skid surface that has superior resistance to abrasion, marring, chipping and cracking. Not recommended for: Use in areas subject to heavy motorized traffic. Not for continual immersion service.

Stats: Covers 75-100 square feet per gallon to achieve the desired 25 mil dry film thickness. Easy application, brush or roll it on depending on surface and specific application requirements. Best when applied with a texture roller cover as seen on our supplies page. Dry to the touch in 30 minutes-1 hour. Available in 100 marine paint colors. Custom colors available on request for an additional $10.00 per gallon. Available in one gallon containers.

Recommended preparation: For best results remove old paint, loose scale, grease, oil and contaminates. Sand, grind, bead blast or power-wash prior to the application of any cleaner or primer.

     Etch Concrete, fiberglass and aluminum with SM-695 Etching Cleaner.

     When painting steel, wood or coating concrete, surfaces must be thoroughly dry before application. Where rust is evident use SM-5679 Phos-Pro Rust Converting Cleaner.

Recommended primers:

     Wood, porous concrete & masonry -None.

     Glazed tile, fiberglass, aluminum and composite materials- SM-664D Etching Primer.
