Supermarine Prop-Pro
(SM-1050)
out lasts and out performs typical prop paints in every
significant performance category. It discourages the growth of
hard fouling marine organisms by creating an exceptionally
smooth finish. On a microscopic level the finish is so smooth
there is very little for new growths to hang onto so it wipes
clean easily. The low build high performance film produces
better balance improving overall performance on propellers,
shafts and thrusters. It produces superior adhesion, hardness
and impact resistance while producing unequaled film smoothness
saving you money on fuel and maintenance costs. It keeps
rudders, keels and trim tabs clean longer without using biocides
or cuprous oxide. It produces a nontoxic finish acceptable
aquaculture applications.
Prop-Pro is best when used with
SM-160
Accelerator/Hardener
and
SM-664D Etching Primer
on properly prepared metal surfaces.
Virtually all applications will require the use of thinner.
Recommend 20% dilution.

Stats:
VOC compliant. Dry to the touch in 2-3 hours. Best when two or
more thin coats are applied at a maximum of 2 mils WFT. MAX DFT
is 3.4 mils. Very high in solid content so thinning will be
necessary in virtually all applications. Custom colors available
on request for an additional $10.00 per gallon. Produces a high
gloss finish available in quart containers.
Recommended preparation:
Refer to Application Instructions Sheet included with order,
label directions and standard industry application practices.
Old paint, loose scale, wax, oil and contaminates must be
removed before application. All surfaces must be sanded, free of
contaminates and thoroughly dry prior to application. Blast
steel to near white or better. We strongly recommend the use ofSM-695
Etching Cleaner
on metal surfaces.
