Revolution (SM-1000) is a revolution in modern marine coatings technology. The single stage (no-mix) formula produces a remarkably attractive finish that must be seen to appreciate. It has a unique soft, smooth appearance yet it is deceptively hard and durable. The low odor formula produces a nontoxic finish that is forgiving and easy to apply. It self-levels like no other marine paint in brush and roll applications and is easily sprayed. Withstands intense UV, high heat (400F), corrosive chemicals, acids, alkalis and staining agents. May be wet sanded and buffed. Acceptable for brush, roll or spray applications. Dry to the touch in 1 hour, recoatable in 6-12 hours - temperature dependant. Dries hard in 24 hours. Dark colors may dry and cure slower. Sand between coats after 48 hours. Pot life: Not applicable. Custom colors available on request for an additional $10.00 per gallon. May be applied to existing paint in sound condition without primer.

Recommendations: Recommend applying two or more thin coats applied at 2 mils max WFT to achieve a minimum DFT of 3.4 mils. Brush: recommend natural bristle brushes. Roller: Recommend high quality dense foam roller covers. Spray: Recommend small-medium size tip.

Thinner: All applications will require 10-20% dilution; See (SM-101 Leveling Thinner) do not substitute

Cleaner: Recommend SM-695 Etching Cleaner for fiberglass, aluminum, concrete and prepared steel surfaces. Where rust is evident use SM-5679 Phos-Pro Rust Converting Cleaner.

Primer:

     Aluminum, galvanized and Stainless: Use SM-117 Pre-Wash Primer in combination with SM-664D Etching Primer or SM-7390 Formula 150 Polyamide Epoxy Primer

     Fiberglass: SM-664D Etching Primer

     Steel, iron & concrete: SM-7390 Formula 150 Epoxy Primer

     Wood: SM-664D Etching Primer

Slip Resistance: For added slip resistance add 8 ounces SM-630 Pro-Tex, or Gaco-Grip.

Accelerate/Harden: See SM-160 Accelerator/Hardener.
